About Us

Hello, I’m Alice- creator of Pombus & Co!

As a child I adored my soft toys, throwing them birthday parties and weddings and saving up my pocket money for the next Bear Factory outfit that I had my eye on. My dad would constantly give voices to these characters and even when I was a teenager,  we amused ourselves with a growing family of meerkat toys each with their own personality.

I went on to study a degree in Printed Textiles before working for a number of years in homewares and later childrenswear. I longed to start a business of my own where I could focus on designing the things that came most naturally to me, and in 2025 the idea for Pombus & Co was born!

After having our first daughter in 2023, my husband and I promptly found ourselves developing amusing backstories for her growing collection of little pals. Whether it’s Earl the greyhound who will take any opportunity to bring the conversation back to the year he spent in ‘Pah-ree’ or Neil the sloth who has a surprising side gig as a luchador wrestler by the name of Slothman. Now Pombus & Co invites you into the endearing world of Pombus the cat and all of his friends! 

All of my artwork starts off as sketched ideas before being brought to life hand-painted in gouache. With my background in print design, I love to incorporate plenty of patterned elements into my work, often resulting in the characters having outfits that I would love to own myself! Family trips and exploring nature are also constant sources of inspiration- sometimes you might be able to guess where our most recent adventure has been!

Through our prints we hope that you will connect with these little friends, so they can light up your home with their sweet, silly & very loveable personalities!
